Privacy Policy
Pocket Radar Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 5, 2026
Pocket Radar respects your privacy. The public Release build performs recognition on your iPhone,
contains no advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking SDK, and does not upload recognition images.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the Pocket Radar iOS app. The app does not require an account and
contains no subscription, in-app purchase, or advertising. This policy explains how the app
handles device and usage information and photos you provide to Camera or Photos features.
2. On-device recognition
The public Release build of Pocket Radar performs recognition on your iPhone.
It contains no online-recognition credentials and does not upload recognition images
to the developer’s servers.
3. Camera, Photos, and images
The app requests Camera access only when you choose to take a photo.
The app requests Photos access only when you choose an existing image.
Successful recognition photos may be compressed and stored in the app’s private container
for the Pokédex Photos section. Other apps cannot directly access these copies.
Local recognition photos are excluded from iCloud backup and removed when you uninstall the app.
4. Analytics, advertising, and tracking
The Release app contains no advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking SDK. It does not send
device identifiers, usage events, recognition images, or locally stored photos to the developer
or an analytics provider.
5. Audio and offline data
Pokédex data, images, and Chinese narration audio are bundled for offline use.
English narration uses on-device system speech. Narration text and audio are not uploaded
to the developer’s servers, and the app does not contact PokéAPI at runtime.
6. Your choices and rights
Camera and Photos permissions can be changed at any time in iOS Settings.
Contact the developer using the method below if you have a question or deletion request.
7. Retention and deletion
A local recognition photo remains until it is replaced by another photo for the same
Pokédex number, you uninstall the app, or the system removes the app’s data.
The developer does not separately retain these photos on its own servers.
8. Children’s privacy
Pocket Radar is intended for a general audience and is not submitted to the App Store Kids category.
The app does not ask children to provide a name, contact information, or account details.
9. Contact and updates
For privacy questions, contact the developer through the App Support link on Pocket Radar’s
App Store product page. If the app’s data practices change, this policy and the App Store
privacy declaration will be updated before the affected version is distributed.
This page is the privacy policy for the current version of Pocket Radar.
A corresponding local copy is also included in the app for offline access.
